Student Educational and Cultural Exchange Programs

Futton Inc. has been coordinating annual student programs in the United States for Chinese youth since 1995. With the assistance of U.S. China Culture Homestay Network (UCCHN) and other non-profit host family organizations, Futton Inc. has successfully welcomed thousands of Chinese students (hundreds annually) for their summer and winter programs.

Futton Inc. believes that sending youth from China to attend student programs in the United States is an essential element in building a bridge of understanding between Chinese and Americans, and is a touchstone of an overall cultural exchange. It is important to begin learning at a young age, a deep understanding of other people and differences in culture in order to cultivate insightful and considerate human beings that will lead their generation on a path for a better society.

These educational programs provided by Futton Inc. promotes understanding in both countries and provides Chinese participants with a valuable opportunity to personally experience American culture, broaden horizons, and expand their knowledge. The bright and intelligent youth who participate in these programs today are the leaders and decision makers for China tomorrow. Establishing contacts in the United States and having a great understanding of the nature and culture of Americans will benefit the two countries in the long run.

Chinese youth participants come from Harbin, Daqing, Shenyang, and Anshan in the Northeast, Xian in the Northwest, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in the South, and Chengdu in the Southwest areas of China. Many students from urban centers like Beijing and Shanghai have also participated. Students arrive with great anticipation and return with positive and lasting memories.
